That’s a funny story actually.
I went to wait in the regular line maybe 4 hours before, and there was 7 or 8 people in front of me, they were in groups. After a half hour a volunteer came and told us we couldn’t wait here this early because John and Hank were doing a signing in the same room first, and told us we had to leave.
So I left and went into the main room to watch a panel I believe, and after maybe an hour I got up and went to walk around and I saw that there was a HUGE line for Starkid forming. I was pretty pissed, since I was one of the first in line and now that the line had grown, I was going to be waiting a lot longer. But I looked to the front of the line and saw the same girls who I was waiting behind as before, so I walked up to them and told them that I was told to leave and when I came back the line was huge, and asked if I could wait behind them. They were super nice and said I could have my spot back.
I was waiting maybe 5 minutes? When a lady came out of the signing room and asked for the people with Rockstar passes. I was the first in line, in that whole section, who had a Rockstar pass. So I was first to be pulled out of the regular line to be put in the Rockstar one.
I was incredibly lucky that those girls let me have my spot back, and even luckier that they had a Rockstar line haha.
Anyway, I’d say go and wait in line maybe 4 hours before. If they tell you to leave, pretend to walk away but stay around the area to make sure what happened to me, doesn’t happen to you.
If you’re a Rockstar, I guess try asking the person watching the door where the Rockstar line starts. Always ask, asking will get you into things that other people won’t do because they didn’t ask.
